Infrastructural Changes Made to Windows XP

One of the most 2 prominent infrastructural changes which were introduced in Windows XP was i) Prefetch and ii) the Copy protection system. Prefetch was introduced to improve the application launch time and startup. It is specific software or set of files that are cached into the “Random Access Memory” (RAM) of the system. The main logic behind using it is to save most of the time in searching for mostly used files by caching it in RAM, which improves processing time and its output. Whereas, a copy protection system was introduced so that software or media on the system could not be replicated on the system for copyrights. It is also called Windows Product Activation.
